Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to creators with accounts, subscribers who follow a deals page, and visitors.

Account and billing. Name or display name, email address, password (handled and hashed by our authentication provider; we do not store your password), plan, preferences, and account timestamps. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive a customer ID, subscription status, and billing details such as country and the last four digits of a card, but we do not store full card numbers.

Creator content. Deal URLs you submit, prices, product names, descriptions, images and screenshots, comments, affiliate or tracking parameters, deal pages, profile content, and the subject and message body of emails you send.

Subscriber information. Email address, subscription status and consent timestamps, IP address, approximate location derived from IP (country, region and city), and unsubscribe status. Creators can see the subscribers of their own deals pages.

Usage and technical data. IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, deal-link clicks and timestamps, verification attempts, provider responses, error logs, and our internal usage and cost ledger.

Communications. Messages you send to support or through the Service.

Cookies and analytics. Essential cookies for sign-in and security, Stripe cookies during checkout, and privacy-friendly analytics (Umami). See section 9 below.

We use personal information to:

• provide, operate, secure and improve the Service;
• verify prices and produce screenshots;
• create and display deal links, deal pages and Finder results;
• send the emails subscribers opted into, on the creator’s behalf;
• process payments, subscriptions and tax obligations;
• prevent fraud, abuse, spam and excessive automated use;
• provide support and send service notices;
• measure aggregate usage and costs.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): performance of a contract (account, Service and emails you request), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, analytics and cost control), consent (where required for marketing emails or non-essential analytics), and legal obligation (tax and accounting).

We share personal information with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts limiting their use:

• AWS (Amplify, Lambda, RDS/PostgreSQL, S3, SES, Cognito) — hosting, storage, authentication and email delivery;
• Stripe — payments and subscription management;
• OpenRouter and model providers (including Google and DeepSeek) — price extraction from page content;
• Scraping providers (Firecrawl, AlterLab, SpiderCloud, ZenRows and ScrapingFish) — fetching product pages;
• Brevo — transactional email delivery where used;
• Umami Cloud — privacy-friendly analytics;
• Ip2Location — approximate location from IP;
• professional advisers, auditors and authorities where required by law.

Creators. The creator who owns a deals page can see subscribers to that page, their status and approximate location, and can send them emails. Creators are responsible for their own use of that information.

Merchants and affiliate networks. When you click a deal link you leave PriceLinks and go to a merchant. The merchant, and any affiliate network or creator tracking code, may collect information under their own policies. We do not control those sites.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We process information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

• Account data: while your account is active, then until deletion and backup expiry.
• Subscriber data: until unsubscribe or deletion, plus a suppression record so we do not email again.
• Deal pages, deals, screenshots and email content: while the page or link exists, or as needed to provide the Service.
• Usage and cost logs: generally up to 60 days, unless needed for security or accounting.
• Billing records: as required for tax and accounting (typically seven years).
• Backups: for the backup retention period configured for our database.

We use encryption in transit, access controls, managed authentication and payment processing that keeps card data out of our systems. No method is perfectly secure. Report concerns to security@pricelinks.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Subscribers can unsubscribe from any email. Account holders can request deletion or export at privacy@pricelinks.com; we may verify your identity and retain what the law requires.

California/CPRA: you have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share for behavioral advertising), and to non-discrimination. Authorized agents may submit requests.

EEA/UK: you may complain to your local supervisory authority. If we are required to appoint an EU representative, we will update this policy with their details before relying on that appointment.

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication, security and checkout. Umami analytics is designed to be privacy-friendly and does not use advertising cookies; it may use a local identifier to count visits. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. You can block cookies in your browser, but sign-in and checkout may stop working.

Subscribing uses double opt-in. We send the emails a creator requests, with an unsubscribe link and sender identification. For subscriber lists, the creator is the primary controller of the list; PriceLinks processes the data to operate the page and deliver the emails on the creator’s behalf. Creators must comply with applicable email law and our Terms of Service.

Deal pages, profiles, product names, prices and screenshots are public. Search engines may index them. Deal links go to third-party merchants; their terms and privacy policies apply, and prices and availability can change.

The Service is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, where required, we will notify you.
